Canister Purge Solenoid

The canister purge valve is a vital part of the Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP). It helps to effectively reduce harmful exhaust vapors such as vapors from fuel tank or carburetor entering our environment by sealing the fuel system of vehicle. 

In modern cars, the canister purge valve is electrically operated, the switch is controlled by the engine computer. The valve remains close when the engine is off. In contrast, when the engine is running, the engine computer opens the valve. It calculates the amount of fuel vapors allowed to be purged from the canister and burned in the engine. Two advantages of canister purge valve are 1) Reduce the air pollution effectively 2) Prevent the possibility of detonation caused by excessive oil gas and pressure.
