Solenoid Valves

A solenoid valve is an electrical device that allows the flow and stoppage of gases or liquids. There is a solenoid inside the valve body; in the center of solenoid, there is an electric coil with a movable magnetic core, also known as the "plunger". When the electrical current flows through the electric coil, it creates an electromagnetic field that is strong enough to move the magnetic core, thus to open or stop the flow. When the current flow is cut off, a spring is used to return the actuator and valve back to their resting state.
